ACTING WORKSHOPS

Chorley Theatre have partnered with Evolve to provide drama workshops for all ages and abilities.

Evolve is run by Mark and Zoe Jones, who have decades of involvement with Chorley Theatre. Mark is CADOS Artistic Director and Zoe has acted and appeared in shows such as Stepping Out and The Snow Queen Pantomime.

Each workshop will focus on all aspects of drama:- improvisation, games, working on selected texts, understanding acting technique, and also on the personal development of our students in areas such as confidence building and how to positively express yourself. And, of course, lots of fun.

Mark says “Two years ago we set-up ‘evolve’ workshops for students aged 5 to 16. Recently, I suddenly thought, I’ve just turned 57, why can’t my age do what they do? So, you know what? That is what I have set up and that is what I am doing – we’ve now got workshops for all ages.”

“I know it will be brave for people to sign-up to this, as it is like stepping in to the unknown, but there is no long-term commitment required – if you attend and it’s not for you – then stop coming. Though I will be surprised if you don’t enjoy it so much that you will want to stay for the long term”
