Chorley Theatre have partnered with ‘evolve’ to launch an exciting programme of workshops for anyone aged 20 plus. The programme is designed to – improve your awareness of theatre techniques and develop your acting skills. The workshops will run weekly at the theatre from November 2023, and end in July 2024 with a public performance of a group devised original play at Chorley Theatre.
Numbers for each workshop are limited and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. Anyone can join, there is no eligibility or audition. The options are:-
Tuesday: 7pm-8.30pm
Wednesday: 5.30pm-7pm
Saturday: 4pm-8.30pm
Sunday: 7pm-8.30pm
Each workshop lasts 1½ hours and costs £10 per person, per workshop. Apply via this link – choose your session and let’s go….

The workshops are delivered by Mark Jones who has directed 19 productions over a 20-year period at Chorley Theatre, the last 10 years he has been overall Artistic Director. He is also a qualified ‘people’ specialist with over 30 years working to develop people of all ages. Due to this experience, students will finish the programme with many new skills which they can apply in everyday life
